Job Description
The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Principal Architect to lead how SEEK designs and builds AI‑enabled and agentic experiences at scale. Reporting to the Head of Architecture – Data & AI, you’ll own the vision, reference architectures and guardrails for AI and agentic solutions across SEEK.
You’ll establish the foundations, patterns and standards that enable teams to build agents that are trusted, safe and high‑impact – integrating securely with SEEK systems and delivering measurable value for customers and SEEKers. You’ll work closely with design, data science, engineering, product and architecture teams to turn ideas into scalable, human‑centred AI experiences.
We care more about what you’ve done than your title. You might be a Principal/Staff Architect, AI/ML Architect, Platform or Solution Architect. If you’ve been designing and delivering complex AI or agentic systems, and effectively operating at a senior leadership level, we’d love to talk – even if you haven’t held the “Enterprise Architect” title.
The Team
Sitting within the Data and AI Architecture domain, this role operates centrally across Customer, Enterprise and Platform architecture to drive cohesive strategies and governance. The team provides specialist, cross‑functional leadership to ensure scalable, consistent outcomes across SEEK’s ecosystem. You’ll manage and mentor solution architects, align architecture, uplift capability and strengthen stakeholder engagement.
What you’ll do
- Define enterprise‑wide standards, reference architectures and guardrails for AI and agentic experiences.
- Shape the end‑to‑end lifecycle of agents – creation, orchestration, monitoring, observability and oversight.
- Act as a strategic advisor on AI and agentic adoption, investment and governance.
- Enable teams with reusable capabilities, patterns and frameworks to safely accelerate delivery.
- Lead and guide solution design for high‑impact, AI‑centric initiatives.
- Drive experimentation with emerging frameworks/protocols (e.g. MCP, A2A, AP2) and translate learnings into platform and architecture standards.
- Embed trust, security, privacy and responsible AI in all agentic architectures.

Qualifications
About you
- Deep experience designing systems with human‑in‑the‑loop interactions, autonomous agents or workflow automation.
- Strong knowledge of LLMs, AI/ML systems and agent frameworks (e.g. LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI or similar).
- Experience architecting AI platform capabilities (e.g. LLM or MCP gateways/servers) on AWS and/or GCP.
- Comfortable with event‑driven, modular architectures, vector databases and modern AI frameworks.
- Practical understanding of AI observability, monitoring and evaluation.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, shape strategy and guide organisations through technology change.
- Strong communicator and thought leader, with a growth mindset and appetite for experimentation.
