The Enterprise Brand Marketing Team is responsible for developing, defining and executing the overarching brand marketing strategy and goals, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decisions. This team ensures brand consistency across all marketing touchpoints and strategically positions the brand to enhance market presence and competitiveness. All team members will be adept at translating insights into actionable strategies that drive brand growth and engagement.
The Brand Sponsorship Associate II will coordinate and execute a comprehensive sponsorship strategy that aligns with the overall brand and enterprise strategy, enhancing brand visibility and partnerships. This individual will provide guidance to execute the annual strategy for corporate sponsorships and facilitate contract negotiations, activation and measurement of Protective’s corporate sponsorship program across all key audiences.
Responsibilities
- Provides guidance for accurate articulation of the brand strategy and guidelines across the organization, maintaining brand integrity and consistency in all marketing initiatives.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
- Consults with leadership across the department, and at times, the company to help create communications programs that support brand and sponsorship initiatives.
- Understands key business drivers and applies knowledge towards the execution of annual corporate sponsorship strategy that supports company goal of increasing brand awareness actively participating in the daily workflow
- Leverage sponsorship platforms to enhance brand visibility and strengthen market positioning by identifying opportunities to amplify sponsorship content, expand audience reach, and drive measurable brand awareness and engagement.
- Coordinate project teams comprised of internal and external partners to plan and activate a wide range of sponsorship programming, including large events at Protective Stadium and other external venues
- Facilitate daily workflows and engagement with sports marketing firm, ensuring firm delivers on commitments for contract negotiations, activation, valuation of programs, and develops forward-looking opportunities based on market and audience-led factors.
- Partner with brand strategy, creative, community relations, and corporate communications teams to create cohesive content packages (video, social, digital, event assets, etc.) that highlight sponsorship partnerships and activate them across all marketing channels.
- Support broader enterprise brand strategy and integrated marketing initiatives beyond sponsorships as needed, flexing to priority brand work during slower sponsorship periods.
- Supports overall brand marketing strategies that align with the company’s objectives and drive brand growth
- Manage the activation of external awards and recognition programs to highlight honorees while strategically reinforcing the company’s brand positioning, values, and market credibility.
Knowledge, Skills, Attributes
- Experience in brand management, brand positioning, competitive analysis, and market research, with a proven ability to leverage insights to make strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- In-depth understanding of brand management and market research techniques
- Excellent analytical and project management skills
- Strong analytical skills paired with a creative mind
Qualifications/Education
- 3-5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a similar field
- Superior interpersonal and client relationship skills
- Demonstrated skill in copywriting, business writing, storytelling, and communication
- Proven marketing project management skills
- Ability to synthesize information and contribute to recommendations to optimize marketing and communications programs
- Ability to work independently on daily assignments in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or related discipline such as sports marketing
$63,500 - $75,000 a year
Protective’s targeted compensation for this position is $63,500-$75,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.
This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
