Senior Backend Engineer (Product/ System/ SaaS/ PaaS)
Our client is an international software development company, delivering custom software solutions for enterprise clients in Europe. Their development centers are in Austria, Germany, Belarus, Lithuania, Poland and Spain. Their primary focus and area of expertise is the financial domain. They deliver solutions according to the latest technical standards for different industries and sectors, using new technologies and modern approaches.
We are currently seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing team in Vietnam. You will play a key role in designing and developing sophisticated SaaS/PaaS applications that prioritize performance, usability, and accessibility.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain robust, high-performing microservices using Java Spring Boot.
· Design and implement scalable and distributed solutions to meet complex business requirements.
· Utilize PostgreSQL for database management and integration within services.
· Create and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments using Kubernetes (K8S).
· Work collaboratively with stakeholders to analyze requirements, propose solutions, and ensure alignment with business goals.
· Develop comprehensive testing strategies, including unit and integration testing, to ensure reliable and secure applications.
· Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth and OpenID Connect.
· Leverage public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure for deploying and scaling applications.
· Ensure code quality and maintainability by following best practices and conducting regular code reviews.
Requirements:
· Fluent in English
· 7+ years of experience in Java development with a deep knowledge of the Spring Boot framework.
· Proven track record of developing microservices and distributed systems.
· Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and database design principles.
· Experienced with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
· Solid understanding of software engineering best practices: testing, code reviews, CI and CD, documentation, and design patterns
· Ability to communicate effectively with both technical team members and non-technical stakeholders.
· Experience in API testing and mocking to ensure robust and reliable system integration.
· Strong Azure and cloud engineering experience, including deployment, security, and reliability practices
Preferred Qualifications (What Sets You Apart):
· Hands-on experience with SaaS/PaaS product development is highly advantageous.
· Demonstrated experience in working on AI projects A foundational understanding of Machine Learning concepts and applications
· Prior experience in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and innovation.
· Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies, showcasing the ability to thrive in iterative development cycles.
