Ragan Communications and PR Daily

We publish resources and provide training for professionals in corporate, internal, and employee communications. We offer professional development, training, and insights to communicators, marketers, HR professionals, and business leaders worldwide. Our offerings include PR, social media, healthcare, and internal communications training, as well as live conferences, events, and webinars.

Each year, we host over 50 in-person and virtual events, attracting about 10,000 attendees. We provide more than 2,000 resources for communicators and reach more than 200,000 readers and members through brands like Ragan.com, the Communications Leadership Council, and PR Daily. We also offer an online training platform, awards, and certificate courses.

Lawrence Ragan founded our company in Chicago in 1970. His son Mark Ragan led the company until Diane Schwartz became CEO in 2019. We also run a job board for the communications and marketing sector, and offer executive memberships for our Communications Leadership Council and the Center for AI Strategy.

Our mission is to educate and inspire communicators with training, news, networking, and experiences that advance their careers.

Through our “Ragan Cares” initiative, we support organizations including Free Haven, George Floyd Org, Meals on Wheels, No Kid Hungry, Ray of Hope Foundation, The Trevor Project, Unicef, and Make a Wish.

We have between 51 and 200 employees. We foster a creative, supportive culture where we are passionate about serving our community and supporting each other. We value curiosity, innovation, and integrity.

We offer a remote-friendly work environment, though some roles may need to align with an East Coast schedule or have the option to work from our Chicago headquarters. Our executive team includes Diane Schwartz (CEO), Amy Jefferies (CMO), Brian Gilbert (CFO), and Mary C Buhay (Chief Growth Officer and Head of Councils).
