The Position
The Senior Manager, Sales Development is a key leadership role within our GTM organization, with considerable impact on the achievement of our pipeline generation and revenue goals. This role requires extensive knowledge of the sales development landscape and strong people management skills, with the ability to recruit, develop, and enhance the essential competencies of team members.
The Sr. Manager will be responsible for the oversight and productivity of a team of SDRs, as well as contribute to the development of more junior members of the Sales Development Leadership team.
Requirements
- [Tenure] A minimum of 12 months in the role of Manager, Sales Development at Remote and ratings of 3+ on performance reviews during that time.
- [Performance] The employee’s most recent performance ratings should be at least 4.
- Demonstrable track record of success driving pipeline through inbound and outbound channels.
- Strong sales acumen — experience in a closing role is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with a robust tech stack, such as Salesforce, Outreach, Zoominfo, etc.
- Passion for hiring, onboarding, and mentoring top talent.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, especially within Sales and Growth.
- Experience leading high-impact cross-functional initiatives from ideation through execution.
- Proven ability to analyze data to identify trends and translate into effective strategies for increasing SDR performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Global Director in setting the strategy for the Sales Development organization.
- Provide strong leadership and strategic direction to the Sales Development team.
- Coach and mentor SDRs and more junior Leaders, driving them and their teams to achieve pipeline generation goals and aiding in their career progression.
- Develop and implement effective programs to enhance SDR effectiveness and optimize results.
- Collaborate closely with regional Sales Directors, other Sales Development Managers, and the Director of Global Sales Development to continually improve the quality and quantity of sales pipeline.
- Work closely with the Growth and Revenue Operations teams, providing feedback on Event strategy and brainstorming new campaign ideas.
- Regularly report on key individual and team metrics to identify areas for improvement and refine our lead qualification and prospect engagement strategies for long-term, sustained success.
- Proactively manage the performance of direct reports and advise on performance management of sub-teams, becoming actively involved as required.
- Hire, onboard, and develop new SDR and Leadership talent.
- Facilitate and foster a culture of high performance and continuous learning within the team.

We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
At Remote, we foster internal mobility as a key element of our culture of employee growth and development, supported by a compensation philosophy that guarantees pay equity and fairness. Therefore, all compensation changes associated with an internal move will be reviewed by the Total Rewards & People Enablement team on a case by case basis.
The annual salary range for this full-time position is
$180,000—$248,000 USD
