We are the U.S. subsidiary of Rittal GmbH & Co. KG, founded in Springfield, Ohio, in 1982. Our parent company, Rittal, was established in Germany in 1961 and has offices in over 70 countries with manufacturing sites on four continents.

Our U.S. Headquarters in suburban Chicago, Illinois, has a customer training center, product testing facilities, and a product showroom. Our manufacturing center in Urbana, Ohio, is over half a million square feet. It includes in-house engineering and modification services, North America’s longest non-automotive paint line, and an 8-story Automated Storage & Retrieval System. We have distribution centers in Georgia, Texas, and Nevada.

We manufacture industrial and IT enclosures, racks, accessories, and high-efficiency climate control and power management systems for industrial, data center, outdoor, and hybrid applications. We offer off-the-shelf standard, modified standard, and custom-engineered solutions. We specialize in enclosure solutions for industrial and IT needs, serving sectors like oil & gas, transportation (air and rail), power generation (including renewables), food & beverage, retail, automotive, and industrial automation, as well as energy-efficient industrial climate control.

Our industrial products include enclosures, power distribution, climate control, Rittal Automation Systems, and system accessories. For IT, we offer rack systems, enclosures, power, cooling, monitoring, security solutions, and modular data centers like RiMatrix S. We hold ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certifications. We partner with Purdue University and Eplan on smart manufacturing, engineering, and education. We also provide software solutions for engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and operation.
