Job description
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to join a small, high-impact engineering team. This role is critical to building and scaling internal systems used daily by clinicians and operations teams. You’ll work in a lean environment with high ownership and autonomy, where execution quality matters. The ideal candidate is Senior (6+ years of experience), writes clean and reliable code, and actively uses AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining strong engineering standards.
What You’ll Be Working On
Building and evolving backend services that power internal clinical workflows
Developing features across web (React) and mobile (React Native) applications
Designing systems that integrate with existing healthcare and EHR platforms
Improving performance, reliability, and maintainability of core services
Using AI tools to accelerate development and reduce manual overhead
Reviewing code, reducing technical debt, and setting a high bar for code quality
Monitoring support tickets to fix bugs and proactively improve the product
Requirements
6+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Engineer
Strong backend experience with Node.js or Python
3+ years experience with React, Typescript, Python, Postgres, or are confident and excited about cross-training and up-skilling!
Experience working in startup or small-team environments
Strong understanding of modern web architecture and distributed systems
Proven experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.) in daily development workflows
Ability to reason about AI/LLM limitations (hallucinations, latency, cost, security/privacy) and design around them
High standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability
Collaborative mindset with a strong focus on execution and ownership
