As we grow, we’re seeking a Transmission Line Team Lead with strong technical expertise and leadership skills to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Transmission Line Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the design, analysis, and management of transmission line projects, with a focus on 115kV systems and above. This role involves leading a team of engineers and designers, ensuring project deliverables meet client expectations, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage transmission line design projects from conception through completion.
Provide technical oversight on the design of overhead transmission lines (115kV and higher).
Review calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with NESC, IEEE, and utility standards.
Mentor and guide team members, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
Coordinate with clients, project managers, and internal teams to ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables.
Support proposal development, resource planning, and project budgeting.
Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in transmission engineering.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
7+ years of experience in transmission line design, with direct experience on 115kV systems.
Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and related design software.
Strong understanding of applicable codes and standards (NESC, IEEE, ASCE).
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing technical teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
