Job Description
At Spotify, we believe that music, podcasts, and culture move the world. We’re looking for a Social Marketing Manager to shape how Spotify shows up across Korea’s social platforms — from Instagram and YouTube to TikTok, X, and beyond.
In this role, you’ll lead Spotify Korea’s social channel and persona strategy, crafting storytelling that fans want to follow, engage with, and share. You’ll play a key role in positioning Spotify at the center of K-Music and Korea’s broader creative ecosystem.
As our cultural antenna in Korea, you’ll bring sharp instincts for trends, fandoms, and digital behavior — ensuring our ideas resonate locally and travel globally. You’ll collaborate closely with marketers, creators, cross-functional partners, and global teams to build a brand that feels both deeply local and globally relevant.
If you thrive at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and culture, this role offers the opportunity to shape how Spotify participates in — and helps drive — cultural conversations in Korea and beyond.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute Spotify Korea’s social and content strategies across key platforms including Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, and emerging channels
- Lead the planning and execution of tentpole campaigns and social-first activations, ensuring Spotify shows up meaningfully in K-pop, K-music, and broader cultural moments
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Music, Comms, Marketing, Editorial, and global teams to bring cohesive, social-first campaigns to life
- Partner with creators, agencies, and internal teams to produce platform-native, creative storytelling that resonates with Korean audiences and travels globally
- Identify and act on cultural trends, fandom behaviors, and emerging formats to keep Spotify relevant and distinctive in the social space
- Contribute to shaping Spotify’s social voice and presence in Korea, ensuring consistency and cultural relevance across channels
- Use data and insights to evaluate performance, optimize content, and inform future campaigns and creative approaches
- Share learnings and best practices with regional and global teams, contributing to the evolution of Spotify’s social marketing efforts
Who You Are
- At least 7+ years of experience in social and content marketing, with a track record of driving strategy and execution in Korea
- Strong understanding of digital and social platforms, fandom behavior, and cultural conversations in Korea
- Experience working with creators, agencies, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful social and content campaigns
- Ability to contribute to and execute on social strategies that build Spotify’s presence within K-pop and broader Korean culture
- Comfortable using data and insights to inform creative decisions, measure performance, and optimize campaigns
- Skilled at managing multiple stakeholders across internal teams, external partners, and global collaborators
- Deeply connected to internet culture, music, and fandoms, with a strong instinct for trends, formats, and emerging conversations
- Background in entertainment, gaming, music labels, media, or tech is a plus
- Fluent in Korean and proficient in English, with strong communication and storytelling skills
- Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
Where You’ll Be
- This role is based in Seoul, Korea
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home
