Position Overview
The Salesforce Business Analyst will work within the Global CRM team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translate business requirements into clear functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, and facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and backlog grooming meetings. The Salesforce Business Analyst is expected to perform the fundamental job functions outlined below.
Essential Job Functions:
- Partner with business stakeholders across the firm to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and backlog grooming meetings
- Collaborate with Salesforce Administrators and Developers to ensure solutions align with business needs, including audit, risk, and compliance requirements
- Produce high-quality documentation including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process diagrams
- Support User Acceptance Testing (“UAT”) planning and execution, including test case creation, defect tracking, and validation of business outcomes
- Partner with reporting teams to define dashboards and key metrics aligned to business goals
- Support other Salesforce team initiatives
- Provide Project Management support to Salesforce Team, including attending project-related meetings, documenting next steps, sending recap emails, and entering next steps in Jira, the team’s project management tool
- Review Jira work items weekly to keep stories updated, identify risks, blockers, etc.
- Assist with release communications, including drafting email announcements, training guides, and PowerPoint slides
- Support other Salesforce team initiatives
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Management or equivalent preferred
- Salesforce Business Analyst certification required or obtained within 90 days of start date
- 2–3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with direct experience in financial services (e.g., banking, wealth management, insurance, lending)
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in financial services
- Experience in Salesforce declarative tools and solutions
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of project management and Agile delivery principles, with experience operating in iterative, fast‑paced environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail; ensures data accuracy, integrity, quality, and compliance
- Ability to partner effectively with business and technical stakeholders, adjusting plans, priorities, and approaches to meet evolving needs and expectations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, stakeholder‑appropriate messaging
- Demonstrated ability to balance business objectives with platform capabilities, constraints, and technical tradeoffs
- Highly organized with strong time management skills, able to prioritize competing demands and meet tight deadlines
- Collaborative and team-oriented, contributing effectively within cross-functional teams
- Self-directed and proactive, able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining alignment with stakeholders and team goals.
