We’re Sweed, a product-driven startup building an all-in-one cannabis retail platform. We’re on the lookout for a Product Owner to join our team remotely and help us scale and optimize our platform.

We’ve been on the market for 7 years, continuously growing and refining our product.
Our focus is on earning customer trust, which means constantly improving our delivery processes and rolling out new features. At the same time, we navigate the complex legal landscape of the cannabis industry, ensuring our platform remains compliant and future-proof.
Team Structure
Our total team size is over 200 people:
The development team is distributed globally and organized into cross-functional product teams. These teams typically consist of 8–12 members, including front-end and back-end developers, QA specialists, and analysts.
Each team is led by a Team Lead and a Product Owner, ensuring effective collaboration and clear direction.
Meanwhile, our CEO, account managers, and customer success team are based in the USA, working closely with us to align product development with business and user needs.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner and(or) System/Business Analyst role
Technical understanding of the product and the ability to communicate effectively with the development team.
Proven experience in a dynamically evolving product with constantly shifting priorities.
Familiarity with Kanban, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to perform business analysis and project management.
Upper-Intermediate and higher level of English. You will need to communicate with the English-speaking part of the team, clients and write and read the documentation in English.
Additionally, you excel in creating exceptional products and driving metrics growth.
What You’ll Be Working On
As a Product Owner, you will start with understanding the business goals and processes, explore competitors, review backlog and contribute to the features delivery processes. You’ll also closely collaborate with the other teams and work together on the cross-team projects.
Business Analysis: Elicitate requirements, propose solutions, describe requirements to the dev team, prepare acceptance criteria.
Team Building & Leadership: Hire, assemble, and guide a cross-functional team of developers, QAs, and other specialists. Collaboration with the team lead to ensure synergy and productivity within the team.
Product Strategy & Execution: Participate in defining the roadmap for our functionality, align it with business goals, and ensure timely delivery of new features.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements.
Resource Allocation: Manage resources effectively, including requesting additional budget and purchasing necessary licenses, to ensure the success of the product.
