About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented IT Intern to work on an exciting project at the intersection of AI, ML, and data analytics. The intern will contribute to one or more use cases designed to showcase how AI technology can be leveraged in business settings. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real-world applications in a global pharma setting while building valuable technical and analytical skills.
Letβs talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:
- Explore and demonstrate ingestion of structured and unstructured data into an enterprise Datahub platform
- Assist with data preprocessing, validation, and quality checks to support AI/ML and analytics workflows
- Work with Large Language Models (LLMs) to process, analyze, and summarize enterprise data
- Support implementation of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to ground LLM outputs in domain-specific knowledge
- Build and maintain workflow-based AI solutions integrating LLMs with data pipelines and business processes
- Apply prompt engineering and model configuration techniques to improve accuracy, relevance, and consistency of AI outputs
- Translate AI outputs into actionable insights and communicate/present findings through visualizations, dashboards, or reports
Factors for Success:
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Foundational knowledge of AI/ML concepts, including basic machine learning models and Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, or other relevant programming languages used for data and AI workflows
- Exposure to data processing, image processing, data quality concepts, and AI/ML tooling (including prompt engineering, RAG, or model evaluation) is a plus
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus, but not required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and interpret AI-generated outputs
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams within a regulated or enterprise environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learn new tools and apply emerging AI techniques responsibly

The expected hourly pay for this position is $26/hour for an undergraduate student and $45/hr for a graduate student.
