About the Role
We are hiring a Medical and Scientific Communications Manager to lead medical communications initiatives. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Scientific and Medical Communications, this individual will collaborate closely across all medical affairs functions. We are seeking an individual with attention to detail and meticulous project management skills who is analytical, innovative, creative, and enjoys producing scientific materials.
Letβs talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role
- Develop and implement medical communication strategies by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure message alignment
- Per medical communication strategy, create, review and finalize external-facing medical content and educational tools
- Support the generation of posters and presentations for US and outside US conferences
- Manage publication projects, including assisting with editorial work, writing articles, quality checks and coordinating the submission processes
- Provide education and training on posters and presentations in preparation for medical congresses
- Support medical information, medical congress, advisory board activities
- Support project management tasks related to internal contracting and content review processes (including contracting and MLR)
Qualifications
- Advanced doctorates degree required (OD, MD, PhD, PharmD).
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Highly detail-oriented to ensure data accuracy and consistency and ability to lead and prioritize assigned projects.
- Knowledge and experience in eye care development and regulations is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Must possess a thorough understanding of the FDA, OIG, HIPAA, PhRMA and other guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry and to ensure compliance with these external and Tarsus compliance guidelines and standard operating procedures.

At Tarsus, we understand the importance of attracting and retaining top talent. The expected base pay range for this position is $134,200 - $188,000 plus bonus, stock equity, and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
