Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 base salary + 5% annual bonus potential
Reports To: Chief People Officer

Location: Hybrid (if in Nashville)/Remote (EST business hours)

The People Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in keeping the engine of our People function running smoothly. This role supports the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding through offboarding — while ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and a consistent, high-trust employee experience. You’ll partner closely with Payroll, Total Rewards, and People leadership to maintain strong operational foundations while helping evolve and improve how we support our teams as we grow.

This role reports to the Chief People Officer and is remote or hybrid; candidates based in the Nashville area will work onsite 1-2 days per week, and remote team members must be located within Central or Eastern time zones to support our studio hours of operation.
What You’ll Do
Employee Lifecycle & People Operations
- Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, job changes, transfers, and employment status updates
- Maintain accurate employee records and digital personnel files within the HRIS
- Support leave of absence, accommodation, and return-to-work processes in partnership with senior People leadership
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to People Operations processes, escalating complex matters appropriately
- Help ensure employees experience clear, timely, and supportive communication throughout lifecycle moments
HRIS & Data Integrity
- Support day-to-day administration of the HRIS (UKG), ensuring data accuracy and completeness
- Partner closely with the Payroll Manager to ensure clean and timely data handoffs for payroll inputs
- Run audits and reports to proactively identify discrepancies or data risks
- Assist with system testing, workflow updates, and documentation when processes evolve
Benefits & Total Rewards Support
- Provide administrative support for benefits enrollments, life events, and vendor coordination
- Assist with annual benefits renewal preparation, audits, and employee communications
- Support compensation and recognition processes through documentation and tracking approvals
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of sensitive compensation and benefits information
Compliance & Documentation
- Support compliance activities aligned with federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Prepare documentation for audits, internal reviews, and reporting requests
- Maintain People Ops policies, templates, and SOPs to ensure clarity and consistency
Process Improvement & Team Support
- Identify opportunities to streamline or automate People Operations workflows
- Support cross-functional People projects and initiatives
- Contribute to a service-oriented People team culture that balances operational precision with empathy

What You Have
- 3–5 years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or HR administration in a similar role
- Hands-on experience working in an HRIS environment (UKG strongly preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage confidential information
- Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets (filters, lookups, basic reporting)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting multi-state employee populations preferred
Preferred:
- Experience supporting benefits administration
- Exposure to payroll-adjacent workflows or payroll data preparation
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work primarily in a seated position using a computer for extended periods
- Ability to communicate effectively via video, phone, and written communication
- Occasional travel may be required for team meetings or company events
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally (office materials or equipment)
