Tendertec

We founded Tendertec in 2017 to help elderly and vulnerable people live independently and to support care workers. We develop AI-driven thermal sensing solutions for fall detection, risk assessment, and privacy-first care.

Our main product, Hestia®, is a ²⁴⁄₇ AI-powered thermal monitoring system. Hestia® detects falls, risks, daily routines, and health trends without cameras, wearables, or microphones. It helps people live independently in their homes, hospitals, and other care settings. It tracks movement, activity patterns, and temperature trends. It sends alerts for falls and near-falls and provides insights into night-time patterns like time in bed, bed exits, night wandering, and bathroom visits.

We work in the Hospitals and Health Care industries, focusing on Independent Living, Artificial Intelligence, Assistive Technology, Elder Care, and Digital Health. Our headquarters are in Cardiff, Wales, UK, and Glyfada, Attica, Greece.

Our mission at Tendertec is to help elderly and vulnerable people live safer, more independent lives and to support care workers. We want to reduce stress for families and help care providers.

Our core approach prioritizes privacy, using only thermal data. This ensures dignity while delivering quality care.

We are a team of 1-10 employees. Dr Afroditi Konidari and Rui Zhang founded Tendertec, drawing on their personal experiences caring for parents with chronic conditions while combining their expertise in engineering and AI.

Our team is compassionate and dedicated. We cultivate a culture of co-design with users, promote healthy and active ageing, and ensure our AI solutions are transparent.
