SafelyYou originated in 2015 from the doctoral research of CEO George Netscher at UC Berkeley’s Artificial Intelligence Research Lab, inspired by his family’s experience with Alzheimer’s disease.

We provide real-time AI video technology and ²⁴⁄₇ remote clinical expert support for dementia care in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities across North America.

Our main product, SafelyYou Halo™, is an AI-driven eCall solution designed to personalize care, increase resident length of stay (LOS), and improve care standards. The platform offers ²⁴⁄₇ AI fall detection with clear video, predictive analysis for acuity, staff efficiency, occupancy, and risk. It also includes wellness features like virtual check-ins and sleep quality assessments. We also provide detailed reporting with over 50 data points, customizable reports, staffing allocation tools, and integrations with EHR systems like Yardi, ALIS, and PCC.

Our technology detects on-the-ground events with over 99.25% accuracy and measures care with 99.99% accuracy, aiming for only one false alarm per sensor every two years. It’s a fully ambient AI solution that doesn’t require wearables for residents or staff.

Over 800 communities and 32,000 residents use our technology, including 80% of the largest senior living providers. Our results show a 40% reduction in falls, an 80% reduction in fall-related ER visits, an increase in resident LOS by over 4 months, and an average annual increase in Net Operating Income (NOI) by 20%. The Senate Falls Report (2019) referenced us as one of five most innovative fall technologies.

We have a team of 51-200 dedicated professionals. Many of us have a personal connection to our mission, stemming from family experiences with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or falls. This personal connection drives our passion for improving dementia care. Our team includes qualified fall experts, RNs, OTs, and PTs who support care plan development and interventions.
