Job Description
Summary
Mucker Capital is a leading software-focused venture capital fund. This role is the opportunity to work inside a top-performing venture fund incubating products as a critical member of a small, fast-moving team of experienced founders and investors. You will own what you build from idea to deployment. This a fund-level role building internal systems and multiple incubations.
We’re building a set of autonomous AI-driven products designed to reason, make decisions, and operate in real-world workflows.
We have early versions in place and are now focused on developing the core intelligence layer — systems that can go beyond generating outputs to actually thinking, evaluating, and improving over time.
The Role
You’ll work directly with founders to design and build the AI systems behind these products, including:
Multi-step reasoning and decision workflows
Agent-based architectures
Feedback loops for evaluation and continuous improvement
This is a backend / systems-focused role with significant ownership over architecture and direction.
What We’re Looking For
Experience building AI/ML or LLM-based systems in production
Strong systems thinking — ability to break down complex problems into structured workflows
Interest in how systems:
generate high-quality outputs
handle ambiguity
improve with feedback
Experience with agent frameworks, RAG systems, or evaluation pipelines is helpful, but not sufficient on its own.
Why This Role
Work directly with founders in a high-ownership environment
Build systems from MVP → production → scale
Help define how autonomous AI systems operate in real-world applications
