What does this team do? Our Marketing team drives growth by connecting Australians with products that can transform their financial futures. We know finances can be a scary topic, and it’s much easier to delay action than to put a plan together today. That’s why we focus on crafting compelling messages that inspire action—helping people take the first step toward financial independence right now, not someday.
What will you do in this role?
- Develop Big Ideas for marketing campaigns, working with the investment team on strategy and the creative and product teams on implementation
- Collaborate with designers and fellow copywriters to provide constructive feedback on all creative content before live testing
- Test new variations on control creative to keep it performing at maximum levels, relentlessly
- Research individual stocks, macro-economic and country related themes, and consumer trends
- Contribute to creative needs across multiple channels including emails, display ads, text placements, landing pages, order pages, microsites, and emerging formats
- Write persuasive copy that inspires members and prospects to take immediate action toward financial independence
- Measure success by response rates and conversion metrics, not just the aesthetic quality of your writing
What do you need to apply?
- Demonstrated persuasive writing ability (examples could include sales copy, persuasive blog posts, or compelling personal communications)
- Detail orientation with strong proofing skills—your work should require zero grammar and spelling errors
- Ability to multitask, prioritize accordingly, stay organized, and meet deadlines
- Willingness to research thoroughly—understanding that the best marketing ideas come from digging deep into topics
- Flexibility and adaptability to constantly changing methods and objectives
- Willingness to copy, paste, and adapt creative from other areas of our business when appropriate
Nice to haves:
- Experience writing shorter emails that convert to sales using proven conversion tactics
- Background in financial/investing copywriting or a passionate interest in personal finance
- Email direct response copywriting experience
- Interest, knowledge, and experience using AI tools to leverage output (where appropriate and legally compliant)
Compensation:
Below is our target compensation range. While we are budget conscious, we’re also eager to find the right person for this role, so if your target is outside of this range, please don’t hesitate to apply and we’d be happy to have a conversation.
Hourly Pay Range
$65—$80 AUD
