Job Description
Our Research, Development & Innovation (RDI) department is growing and we are looking for an Innovation & AI Solutions Builder to join our Innovation Management team.
The role exists to explore, design, and deliver innovative, AI-powered solutions that address real business challenges and create measurable value. Acting as a hands-on innovation generalist, the Innovation & AI Solutions Builder experiments rapidly, combines creative problem-solving with emerging technologies, and turns ideas into scalable, practical solutions.
The RDI Department has recently established the iQnovus Innovation Center, which coordinates Research and Innovation activities not only for Uni Systems but also for other Quest Group companies (ACS, Info Quest Technologies, Quest Energy, and BriQ). The Center has a strong portfolio of EU funding proposals and awarded projects in various domains, incl. smart cities, energy, mobility, industry 4.0, e-gov, cultural heritage, health, etc., working very collaboratively with academic/research institutes, other companies, start-ups and non-profits across Europe in submitting joint proposals to various EU funding programmes (e.g., Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, Creative Europe, etc.).
What will you be bringing to the team?
Our UniQue people come from a variety of different backgrounds and industries, with different skillsets and approaches, but they have one thing in common: a passion for technology and innovation!
More specifically, for the Innovation & AI Solutions Builder position, we expect you to:
- Own innovation initiatives end-to-end, from problem discovery and ideation to experimentation, piloting, and scaling.
- Translate business and client challenges into AI-enabled solution concepts, prototypes, and MVPs, with a strong focus on fast learning cycles.
- Act as a multi-hat contributor depending on the project: innovation strategist, solution designer, product thinker, experimenter, and delivery lead.
- Adopt an ecosystem-driven approach to innovation, actively leveraging internal capabilities and external partners (startups, vendors, academia, innovation communities) to co-create, pilot, and scale AI-powered solutions.
- Design and run rapid experimentation cycles using AI tools, low-code/no-code platforms, and “vibe coding” approaches to quickly test ideas.
- Apply and evolve structured yet flexible methodologies such as design thinking, lean startup, rapid prototyping, and continuous experimentation.
- Collaborate closely with business, data, engineering, and external partners to bridge ideas with implementation.
- Facilitate and actively contribute to ideation workshops, AI discovery sessions, and co-creation sprints with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build business cases, value propositions, and impact hypotheses, adapting depth and rigor to the maturity of each experiment.
- Act as an AI and innovation scout, staying up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and market trends, and sharing insights across teams.
- Contribute to shaping innovation ways of working, tools, and culture, promoting experimentation, curiosity, and hands-on problem solving.
Your experience, skillset and qualifications are going to help you succeed in this position, moving forward. We would like you to have:
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
3+ years of proven experience in innovation, consulting, R&D, or digital transformation roles.
Hands-on experience with innovation frameworks and tools.
Strategic thinking with the ability to connect business needs to practical solutions.
Creative problem-solving skills, translating complex challenges into actionable solutions.
Clear and effective communication skills.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability, driving initiatives end-to-end.
Proficient in English (written and verbal).
Genuine curiosity for emerging technologies, AI trends, and innovation ecosystems.
People-first approach and open environment to express your ideas
Corporate laptop and equipment
Work-life balance and a hybrid work model
Continuous training and certifications
