Overview
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role focuses on the mechanical design of equipment enclosures and integrated platforms that house batteries, inverters, transformers, and other power infrastructure.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in mechanical product design using SolidWorks, with exposure to sheet metal, structural assemblies, and thermal management of electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design mechanical enclosures and structural platforms for battery energy storage systems.
• Develop equipment layouts and mechanical assemblies supporting service access, ventilation, and cable routing.
• Create 3D models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks, including sheet metal and weldments.
• Perform structural and thermal analysis to support battery cooling and system safety.
• Coordinate closely with electrical and manufacturing teams to ensure proper equipment integration.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and product development phases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial equipment or energy systems.
• Strong experience with SolidWorks (sheet metal, weldments, large assemblies).
• Experience with structural design and thermal management for electrical or power equipment.
• Familiarity with engineering documentation, BOMs, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong English communication skills.
