Who You Are
We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to take ownership of critical systems, drive architectural decisions, and solve complex distributed challenges at scale. This is a hands-on role for someone who goes beyond implementation and shapes how systems are designed, built, and evolved.
What You Will Do
Design and build scalable backend services in Go or Java
Own end-to-end architecture and technical direction for key systems
Work on distributed systems and event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar)
Drive improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability
Lead complex, cross-team initiatives from design to production
Partner with product and engineering stakeholders to shape technical direction
Mentor engineers and influence engineering standards and best practices
Requirements
What You Will Bring
Proven experience as a senior or staff-level backend engineer building and owning large-scale systems
Strong experience with Go or Java in production environments
Proven track record of designing and operating distributed systems at scale
Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar)
Strong system design skills (scalability, performance, reliability)
Experience owning systems end-to-end and driving technical decisions
Experience leading complex technical or cross-team initiatives
Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
Strong experience with containerized environments (Kubernetes or similar)
Experience building or operating high-throughput or low-latency systems
Experience working with real-time data processing systems
