Job Description
Visa Spend Clarity is a global SaaS product centered around Visa Commercial and Virtual Cards. It complements a banks corporate card program for large corporates allowing for streamlined card program management expense management controls and virtual payment solutions from the desktop interface and Mobile App.
The Senior Director Product Engineering is accountable for the delivery outcomes across a portfolio of multiple value streams within the Spend Clarity Group. As a Senior Director within Visa this role will report to the VP Engineering for the Spend Clarity Group and will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Being responsible for the Who will do the work How will we deliver it and When will it be delivered the role will lead cross functional teams driving product engineering and delivery excellence across the group. The remit typically leads a group of teams totaling around 50 people coming from an engineering background.
In close partnership with Product Management Platform and Architecture teams this role will balance driving technological innovation with delivery excellence. A strong focus on the rapid integration of AI to enhance product capabilities improve software quality and optimize throughput while ensuring all initiatives align with Visas global technology strategy and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- For this role the key skills required are:
- 10+ years of experience in relevant technology environments
- 8+ years in technology leadership roles
- AI advocacy and foundations in Software Development Environments
- Deep technical foundations, with experience in hands-on software engineering roles
- Experience with partner engagement, including executive level
- Comfortable influencing and supporting organizational change
- Experience with Cloud (IaaS/SaaS) applications
- Experience in working in a regulated environment, where security and compliance is at the front-of-mind
