What a Business Development Leader Does at Visa

  • Cultivate relationships with Visa clients by deeply understanding their business objectives, goals, and strategies, and design and execute engagement models where Visa can support clients to achieve their ambitions.
  • Act as a thought leader for clients—challenging their thinking, bringing fresh perspectives, and proactively identifying ways to drive their growth.
  • Orchestrate collaboration among internal and regional cross-functional teams to support each client’s needs, grow their business, or solve challenges through innovative initiatives.
  • Go out into the market to chase new deals, build pipelines, and secure strategic partnerships that align with Visa’s vision.
  • Create and manage partnership deals tailored to specific client objectives, ensuring performance targets are met.
  • Execute Visa’s strategic priorities to accelerate payment volume growth and expansion in partnership with clients.
  • Constantly look for new opportunities—whether in emerging technologies, new market segments, or innovative payment solutions—to keep Visa and our clients ahead of the curve.

Projects You Will Be a Part Of

  • Manage relationships with several assigned Visa clients, ensuring their business grows according to plan.
  • Lead multiple cross-functional teams to deliver growth for clients including customized solutions tailored to each client needs.
  • Proactively pursue new business opportunities and partnerships that align with Visa’s strategic objectives.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Min 10+ years of experience in payment, financial services, or fintech; international work exposure is preferred
  • Strong sales aptitude with a goal-oriented mindset
  • Strong leadership-building and project management skills; demonstrated ability to be a trusted client partner to drive growth jointly
  • Proficiency in financial models, especially deal structuring and analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively in both Thai and English
