Job Description
Location: Remote
Commitment: 20 hours/week
Duration: 12 weeks
Hourly Rate: $125/hr
We are looking for a Head of Growth for a life-skills learning platform for kids ages 5-10, built to help children develop emotional awareness, resilience, confidence, and social skills through play. The company blends a kid-facing game experience with a parent portal that reinforces learning in real life.
They’re an early-stage, mission-driven company with institutional backing and a product that families genuinely love.
Why This Role Is Unique
This is a learning first growth role. You’ll operate as the most senior growth leader, focused on:
● Understanding what drives conversion and retention
● Running fast, structured experiments across acquisition and funnel
● Building the foundation for a scalable growth engine
● Balance driving volume with generating clear, actionable insights
What You’ll Own
● Acquisition (primary focus)
○ Own paid acquisition strategy, budget, and execution as the primary driver of rapid learning
○ Test and iterate on creative, audiences, and channels
○ Explore organic and partnership-driven growth (referrals, schools, communities) where relevant
● Funnel & Activation
○ Identify where users drop off across the funnel
○ Improve conversion, onboarding, and early engagement
● Messaging & Positioning
○ Translate learnings into stronger, higher-converting messaging
○ Test value propositions across ads, landing pages, and lifecycle
● Lifecycle (early-stage)
○ Build and iterate on onboarding and re-engagement flows
○ Improve activation and early retention signals
● Growth Analytics & Insights
○ Define key metrics across CAC, activation, retention, and LTV
○ Run structured experiments and surface insights that shape product and GTM decisions
● Leveraging and Directing Resources
○ Work closely with existing contractors (marketing, design) to drive execution against growth priorities
○ Identify gaps and bring in additional resources where needed to maximize speed and quality of learning
Qualifications
● 10+ years in growth, performance marketing, or lifecycle experience at a B2C product
● Experience in B2C growth for digital products
● Experience in subscription or recurring revenue models
● Strong hands-on experience in paid acquisition and experimentation
● Highly analytical and comfortable working with funnel and cohort data
● Strong hypothesis-driven mindset (you don’t just execute, you ask why and test it)
● Able to balance strategy and hands-on execution
● Comfortable operating in ambiguity and early-stage environments
● Ruthless prioritizer who focuses on highest-leverage work
● Thrives in early-stage environments where learning speed matters more than polish
● Nice to have (highly preferred): Experience marketing to parents or families; background in edtech or kids products
