Requirements
We’re looking for a sharp, culturally plugged-in Social Copywriter and Content Creator to support a high-impact social team at one of the world’s most recognizable tech brands. This is a rare hybrid role that demands two distinct but equally strong skill sets: the ability to craft superb social copy that stops the scroll, and the confidence to show up on camera and create content that resonates.
This is not a siloed writing role. You will be both the wordsmith behind the caption and the face on the screen. If you’ve spent time in an agency environment or on brand teams where you’ve had to move fast, adapt quickly, and nail a voice under pressure, this is your moment.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT
This is a niche role by design. We’re not looking for a pure copywriter who is open to being on camera sometimes. We’re also not looking for a content creator who can write okay captions. We need someone who genuinely excels at both; a hybrid who doesn’t treat either side of the role as secondary.
Think: a social editor at a media brand who grew up writing stories but now also makes TikToks, presents on video, and helps shape what a brand sounds and looks like online. That’s the profile. If that’s you, we want to hear from you.
WHO YOU ARE
- A social-first thinker with agency or big brand experience who lives on the platforms you create for.
- A writer with a sharp editorial instinct; you understand how a single word choice changes everything on social.
- Equally comfortable writing a punchy caption as you are filming a piece-to-camera or man-on-the-street style content.
- Someone who moves fast without sacrificing quality, and pivots without drama when direction changes.
- Flexible, resilient, and energized by ambiguity; you see a constantly evolving team and a brief as an opportunity, not a roadblock.
- A natural on camera with a portfolio that proves it. Not a performer, but a person who is authentic, engaging, and comfortable in front of a lens.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Write social copy across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and more) that reflects a distinct, ownable brand voice.
- Develop captions, scripts, short-form copy, and content that works in tandem with visual assets — you understand that great copy and great content creation go hand in hand.
- Appear on camera for short-form social video, for example, interview-style, product highlights, behind-the-scenes, and creator-led formats.
- Collaborate with designers, strategists, and producers to concept and execute content from brief to final delivery.
- Support ideation and production of content at events, activations, and in-studio formats as needed.
- Jump in on copy for brand channels with a consistent voice while adjusting tone and style by platform.
- Work across multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, adjusting quickly when timelines shift or needs evolve.
Qualifications
Must-Haves
- Exceptional social copywriting skills — your portfolio demonstrates range, voice, and platform fluency across at least one major brand or agency.
- Proven on-camera experience — your portfolio or reel includes examples of you in front of the camera in a professional or branded content context.
- Experience working at an agency or on an in-house brand team with high-volume, fast-turnaround social output.
- Strong editorial instincts — you can write for brand voice, adjust for platform tone, and edit your own work to a high standard.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment where priorities shift and no two days look the same.
- A portfolio that clearly demonstrates both your copywriting work and your on-camera or content creation experience — please do not apply without it.
Nice-to-Haves
- Background in editorial, publishing, or media with hands-on social content creation experience.
- Experience writing for social channels alongside creating content that supports those channels (think: writer for a publication who also made TikToks for it).
- Familiarity with short-form video production including basic understanding of filming, lighting, and editing.
- Experience working with or alongside motion designers, graphic designers, or video editors in a collaborative content pipeline.
