Job description

Legal Link seeks a dynamic, mission-driven Director of Strategic Partnerships to expand our Legal First Aid® program nationally. This role blends relationship-building with program management, leading outreach to new partners while coordinating meeting logistics, registration outreach, and post-training follow-up to ensure high-quality implementation and data tracking. The Director will represent Legal Link externally, manage a pipeline of partners, and align partnership opportunities with organizational goals to advance equitable access to justice. This is an ideal opportunity for a collaborative strategist who excels at moving initiatives forward, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about building systems that help communities achieve economic stability and prevent homelessness.

About Legal Link

Legal Link trains community partners to identify and address early-stage legal issues among their clients, so that low-income people can achieve greater economic stability. Since our founding in 2015, we have trained over 2,000 frontline professionals from more than 100 leading nonprofits through our innovative Legal First Aid® program. By integrating critical legal support into trusted community-based services, such as social services and healthcare, Legal Link helps prevent homelessness, reduce poverty, and build stronger, more resilient communities. We envision a world where communities can rise out of poverty with equitable access to a just legal system.

About the Position

Legal Link is seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships to help lead the organization into its next chapter of growth and impact. This role will develop and implement strategies to expand Legal Link’s reach, connecting with key audiences including national associations of county health and social service professionals, community foundations, and similar networks to promote Legal Link’s model as a solution to the access-to-justice crisis facing their clients.

The Director will actively cultivate, maintain, and grow a pipeline of partners who see the value in Legal First Aid® certification training and provide project management with new and existing partner sites and agencies. They will identify, engage, and pursue new partnership opportunities while representing Legal Link externally at conferences, meetings, and other events. This role will also liaise with key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and Advisory Board, to source new partnerships and philanthropic investments as needed.

This position requires a dynamic, mission-driven strategist with a deep commitment to Legal Link’s model and values. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. The Director of Strategic Partnerships reports directly to the Co-Executive Director and collaborates closely with the program and legal teams.
