The Director, Solutions Consulting is responsible for leading a team of experts with deep knowledge of Nextiva products, the business problems we solve, and the value of our solutions.  Reporting directly to the VP of Solutions Consulting, the Director of Solutions Consulting is responsible for the strategy and execution of a variety of pre-sales activities to drive bookings and customer retention. This leader will collaborate closely with sales, product, professional services, customer success, and partner teams to align our cutting-edge solutions with business goals and the requirements of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Solutions Consultants, ensuring their ongoing professional growth and success
  • Sales Partnership: Collaborate with Sales teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities, providing expert guidance on product positioning and value proposition
  • Customer Engagement: Oversee the entire customer engagement lifecycle, including discovery calls, product demonstrations, and presentations, to effectively address customer needs and drive sales
  • Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic direction and thought leadership to the Solutions Consulting team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and coaching to drive results
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to improve the Solutions Consulting process, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Team Building: Recruit, hire, and onboard new Solutions Consulting, ensuring their readiness to become trusted advisors to customers
  • Presentations and Communication: Present persuasively to senior customer personnel, clearly articulating business value and conveying a credible understanding of Nextiva technology

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • An MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in solutions consulting, pre-sales, or a related field within the B2B software industry
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to quickly learn and articulate the value of complex software solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives and technical stakeholders
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting sales efforts and driving revenue growth
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective pre-sales strategies
  • Ability to travel as needed to support sales efforts and attend industry events

Our compensation packages are tailored to each role and candidate’s qualifications. We consider a wide range of factors, including skills, experience, training, and certifications, when determining compensation. We aim to offer competitive salaries or wages that reflect the value you bring to our team. Depending on the position, compensation may include base salary and/or hourly wages, incentives, or bonuses.

The expected hiring range is $193,000-$287,000, including annualized base salary and annualized target sales incentive. Some sales roles are paid hourly with overtime eligibility. A different level in the job hierarchy may apply to a specific candidate, resulting in a different hiring range.
