Description
The Dispatch position is a non-exempt position working at least 40 hours per week with overtime as necessary. Dispatch will provide support to the Logistics Specialists and Sales Assistants to ensure a smooth customer transaction. This position requires excellent communication and team skills, plus the ability to make quick fact-based decisions based on the input of the Logistics Specialist. The Dispatch employee must possess a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as basic math skills. Customer service experience in a phone sales environment is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and verify the status of loads/trucks using communication tools and TMS.
Ensure loaded trucks comply with weight regulations and hours of service rules.
Provide customers with timely updates on truck status and expected delivery times.
Schedule, confirm, and oversee on-time loading, unloading, and case count accuracy.
Enter and update load details in the TMS system accurately and efficiently.
Receive and respond to daily check-in calls from delivery trucks, considering potential delays (weather, road conditions, etc.).
Dispatch trucks accurately and promptly, entering relevant details into the TMS system.
Coordinate load scheduling and activities with customers, carriers, and drivers.
Support Logistics Specialists with inbound/outbound calls and maintain call activity logs.
Identify and address potential truck/load issues proactively.
Communicate important load and customer updates to Sales Assistants, Logistics Specialists, and Dispatch teams before the end of the day.
Maintain timely and professional email communication.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Working schedule: PST TIME
Sunday: 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Monday: 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Tuesday: ❌ Off

Thursday: ❌ Off
Friday: 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Saturday: 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Requirements
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly and professionally.
Bilingual abilities are a plus. (Spanish speaking)
Ability to take clear and concise messages.
Proficiency in following both written and verbal instructions.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Experience with technical software is a plus.
General knowledge of maps, highways, and logistics is preferred.
Previous experience in logistics management is a plus.
Must have a reliable mode of transportation.
Availability to work weekends, as this position requires shifts on Saturday and Sunday.
