About Snorkel
At Snorkel, we believe meaningful AI doesn’t start with the model, it starts with the data.
We’re on a mission to help enterprises transform expert knowledge into specialized AI at scale. The AI landscape has gone through incredible changes between 2015, when Snorkel started as a research project in the Stanford AI Lab, to the generative AI breakthroughs of today. But one thing has remained constant: the data you use to build AI is the key to achieving differentiation, high performance, and production-ready systems. We work with some of the world’s largest organizations to empower scientists, engineers, financial experts, product creators, journalists, and more to build custom AI with their data faster than ever before. Excited to help us redefine how AI is built? Apply to be the newest Snorkeler!
About the Role
At Snorkel AI, we’re redefining how enterprises build and deploy machine learning applications with programmatic data labeling and powerful LLM-adaptive data pipelines. Our Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) business serves the world’s leading AI labs and technology companies to deliver the high-quality data that fuels their most ambitious GenAI efforts.
We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to head our Engagement Management team—the customer success function responsible for driving long-term partnerships, delivering cutting-edge data solutions, and shaping the future of AI development alongside our customers.
As the Head of Engagement Management for DaaS, you will own the end-to-end relationship with our enterprise customers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data pipelines while developing trusted, strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. You’ll lead a team that interfaces directly with AI leaders at the frontier—navigating technical complexity, influencing product/technical strategy, and ensuring successful delivery from pilot through to long-term production.
You will be a customer champion, technical advisor, and operator—building the foundation of a high-impact team that directly influences both customer outcomes and Snorkel’s growth trajectory.
Responsibilities
Lead the Strategic Engagement team, scaling a high-performing group that serves as the trusted primary partner for DaaS customers—from initial pilot through full-scale deployment— driving exceptional delivery outcomes, revenue growth, and long-term account expansion.
Build the operating plan and long-term vision for the Engagement Management team, identifying key investments to scale customer success and drive revenue growth.
Lead with a metrics-driven mindset, developing KPIs and success metrics to track performance, quality, and customer value of the Engagement Management team.
Oversee the on-time, high-quality delivery of complex datasets, translating technical complexity into clear business value, and guiding customers from pilot to production to secure long-term commitments, scale revenue, and improve margins.
Accelerate revenue by strategically driving growth, upsell and cross-sell opportunities across our portfolio of customers and partnering with Sales and Marketing on high-impact expansion initiatives.
Develop trusted, strategic relationships with senior technical stakeholders at AI labs
and tech giants—guiding their journey and ensuring mutual success.
Champion customer and business needs, shaping priorities across teams while surfacing insights to continuously improve delivery, experience, and technical capabilities.
Identify and manage delivery risks and blockers, escalating cross-functionally as needed to maintain project momentum.
Collaborate across Snorkel’s teams —Delivery Ops, Engineering, Research, GTM, and Product—to align on customer priorities and execute effectively.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in customer success, technical account management, consulting, or engagement management—ideally in a data/ML, SaaS, or technical services context.
- Proven track record building and maintaining high-value customer relationships at the executive level, ideally within enterprise tech or AI/ML ecosystems.
- Strong project management and delivery oversight experience, with the ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize ruthlessly, and drive cross-functional execution.
- Technical aptitude and fluency in data pipelines, AI/ML workflows, or data annotation—comfortable being hands-on with complex use cases.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly convey value, manage stakeholders, and resolve challenges diplomatically.
- Experience growing and mentoring high-performing teams; excited to build a team from the ground up.
- Passion for GenAI, customer outcomes, and building in fast-paced, high-impact environments.
- B.S. degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or comparable degree/experience.
- Travel up to 20% based on customer needs.
The salary range for this position based in the San Francisco Bay Area is $160,000-$240,000. All offers include equity compensation in the form of employee stock options.
