Job Description
๐ The Job Mission
This role supports mechanical engineering delivery on a high-profile nuclear infrastructure programme. Youโll help ensure engineering standards are met and construction activities stay on track. Your future team will guide you as you develop your expertise in a critical project environment.
This is a hybrid role, with part of your time spent on-site at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater. Youโll need to be within commutable distanceโor be open to relocating, with financial support available to help with the move.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining construction workpacks and documentation
- Coordinate with subject experts to define technical scopes
- Support surveys, inspections, and access planning for site works
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and engineering standards
- Track and prioritise documentation to support ongoing construction
- Contribute to permit and work authorisation processes
- Liaise with wider teams across mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems
- Champion good practice in health, safety, and environmental performance
Qualifications
๐ Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in mechanical engineering
- Exposure to construction or installation projects in regulated environments
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
โ๏ธ Desired Skills
- CCNSG Safety Passport plus IOSH or NEBOSH certificate
- Experience with mechanical workpacks or construction readiness
- Familiarity with large infrastructure or energy projects
- Knowledge of permit systems or work authorisation procedures
- Hands-on involvement in site surveys or field engineering tasks
