We’re hiring a Procurement Intern to assist procurement professionals with various tasks related to sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and data analysis to gain practical experience and support the procurement team. This summer intern will assist/lead three projects to free up bandwidth of the team and provide additional coverage. This role will provide training and experience for the intern.

What you will be doing:

  • As an Indirect Procurement Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Procurement Department’s operations and gaining practical experience in procurement processes and supplier management.
  • You will work closely with the Procurement team to assist in various tasks and projects, contributing to the organization’s overall efficiency and success. Your contributions will assist the team in meeting their KPIs.
  • This internship provides an excellent opportunity to learn about procurement practices and develop essential skills for a career in supply chain management.
  • You will help support supplier management, supplier onboarding, and optimization of procurement process flows.
  • You will have multi-level and functional team exposure.
  • You will have contract and negotiation exposure.
  • You will gain project planning/management.
  • You will work in a close-knit team to develop both hard and soft skills within Procurement systems and software management systems in a technology-based company (non-manufacturing).
  • Enhance procurement department activities through improved efficiencies of established processes and assist with procurement department documentation.
  • Support various procurement department initiatives.
  • Complete a final project summary of your experience over the summer.

Here’s what you will need to know/have:

  • High school diploma/GED is required.
  • Supply Chain – Current college-level standing majoring in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of contracts and agreements is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening.
  • Proficient analytical skills to be able to analyze and decipher complex data and information.
  • Comfortable with presenting and discussing concepts and recommendations.
  • Must be able to perform and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a self starter and goal-focused.
  • Proficient in Google Office Suite (Mail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides) or Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn new skills and adapt quickly

$18 - $20 an hour

This is a fixed term internship that begins in June and ends on or around the end of August, 2025.
