Product Manager, Data & BI

Remote U.S.  (designated states)

This position is fully remote and may be performed from one of the following U.S. states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IN, KS, MA, MI, MS, NC, NV, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX.

We are looking for a highly skilled and results-oriented Data and Business Intelligence Product Manager to lead the development and execution of our BI and data-driven product strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and customer success, to create data-centric products that deliver actionable insights to our customers.

This role requires a deep understanding of data analytics, business intelligence platforms, and SaaS products, combined with strong leadership and communication skills. You will be the voice of the customer and ensure that our products meet their needs while driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the roadmap for our Data and Business Intelligence products.
  • Lead the product lifecycle from ideation to execution, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and customer needs.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to inform product decisions
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align product priorities with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and security teams to build, enhance, and maintain a data platform that serves internal and external users.
  • Drive the product lifecycle from ideation through development, launch, and iteration, ensuring a smooth and timely delivery of new features.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and data science teams to deliver high-quality, scalable BI solutions.
  • Work with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure product messaging, positioning, and customer adoption.
  • Foster a data-driven culture within the company, championing the use of analytics and insights across all teams.
  • Conduct customer interviews, surveys, and usability studies to identify pain points and opportunities.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for product success.
  • Analyze user behavior, engagement, and satisfaction to drive continuous product improvements.
  • Ensure that data quality, privacy, and governance standards are met across all product features.
  • Work with data engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Engage with customers, partners, and industry experts to understand their needs and ensure that new products provide real value.
  • Present product updates and vision to internal stakeholders and leadership, aligning on priorities and goals.
  • Support customer-facing teams by providing technical guidance, training, and documentation to assist in product adoption.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for API adoption, usage, and marketplace growth.
  • Analyze user engagement and feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new feature development.
  • Conduct and participate in market research, user interviews, and competitive analysis to understand healthcare industry trends, customer needs, and pain points. Use insights to define product features, functionality, and positioning.
  • Manage the product backlog, prioritize features, and define user stories for agile sprints.
  • Oversee the development and release of features, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution.
  • Measure product performance post-launch and iterate based on feedback and analytics.

Required Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience). MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager, with a focus on data analytics, business intelligence, or SaaS products.
  • Strong understanding of BI tools (e.g., YellowfinBI, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.) and data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end product development, from concept to launch, in an agile environment.
  • Solid knowledge of data visualization best practices and user experience design for data-driven products.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and marketing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
  • Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Pendo etc.).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Domain experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Practice Management Reporting and data products  is preferred
