Summary
The job is for a Registered Nurse who will perform remote physiologic monitoring and conduct verbal assessments of patients. The nurse should have strong communication skills, an in-depth understanding of disease processes related to vital sign monitoring, time management and prioritization skills, assessment and critical thinking skills, clinical experience in inpatient settings (preferred), and be available during established work schedules and shifts.
Requirements
- Formal education as a Registered Nurse or Health care aide or equivalent experience (RN, LVN, LPN)
- Strong verbal and communication skills in English
- In-depth understanding of disease processes related to vital sign monitoring (hypertension, heart failure, CKD, asthma/COPD and obesity)
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Assessment and critical thinking skills
- Be available, accessible, and accountable to work during established work schedules and shifts
- Follow support processes and procedures
- Comply with organizational security and compliance standards, training, performance management, recurring management routines, manual and automated remote monitoring policies, etc
- Must have an active Compact License
- Must have an active US Nursing License
Responsibilities
- Conduct remote physiologic monitoring treatment management services
- Call patients for verbal assessment and health teaching
- Manage computer/online guidelines for responding to customer queries
- Coordinate patient care and collaborate with other members of the healthcare team through electronic medical records
- Monitor vitals and determine whether they are in or out of range
- Assess vitals and prioritize based on patient needs
- Maintain patient confidentiality and respect for patient rights in an online environment
- Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress and respond to alert cases through remote monitoring tools
- Answer patient consult calls etc

Clinical experience in adult care or pediatrics
