Day in the Life of a Senior Business Analyst

As a Senior Business Analyst / Consultant in our Core Practice, no two days are the same — but your focus is always on translating business goals into smart, scalable Salesforce outcomes. Here’s what a typical day might include:

  • Facilitating client-facing workshops to uncover business needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Architects, Developers, QA) to design and validate Salesforce solutions that meet client goals
  • Documenting user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows that clearly communicate business requirements
  • Leading demos and walkthroughs of Salesforce features and prototypes, helping clients visualize how the platform will support their processes
  • Managing your time across multiple projects, ensuring each client receives timely updates and deliverables
  • Driving conversations toward clarity and outcomes, especially in areas where business needs are evolving or ambiguous
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them adopt Salesforce best practices and make informed decisions
  • Staying organized and proactive, keeping documentation up to date, surfacing risks early, and ensuring alignment from discovery to delivery

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant on end-to-end Salesforce projects, including requirements gathering, solutioning, documentation, testing, and go-live support
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client-facing workshops for discovery
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into requirements and vice versa
  • Skilled in documenting user stories, acceptance criteria, and business process flows using tools like Lucidchart
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce best practices, standard functionality, and declarative configuration capabilities
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including technical architects, developers, QA, and project managers
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail
  • Comfort working in hybrid agile delivery environments, participating in sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust, clearly articulate ideas, and adjust messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated confidence and professionalism in client-facing settings, including workshops, demos, and executive briefings
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple deliverables across concurrent projects
