Job description
As UX Designer, you’ll work as part of an agile scrum team as a UX Designer supporting a web application portfolio in support of a federal agency. You will collaborate with other designers as well as scrum masters, business analysts, developers, testers, as well as Product Owner and IT Project Managers to create and refine designs based on business requirements that developers will then use to implement user stories.

What you’ll do:
- You will participate in all agile ceremonies throughout the course of two-week sprints.
- You will work directly with other designers to create mockups and generate designs depicting new features and functionality for a web application portfolio.
- You will attend meetings with a wide range of stakeholders
- You will participate in technical and requirements refinement meetings.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- You possess 2-5 years’ experience leading transformative digital experiences
- You have 2-5 years’ experience using Adobe XD/Mural/Invision/Figma to put together userflows, prototypes, wireframing, and mockups with mostly existing components built a portfolio of experience showing UX artifacts across research and architecture
- You have 2-5 years’ experience with user research, testing designs with end users, synthesizing data, present findings and recommendations, and finding qual/quant methods to evaluate designs
- You can understand business requirements of forms and how they will impact the UI design in the digital experience
- You have experience working as part of an agile scrum team
- You are very familiar with the Atlassian suite and supporting large-scale development efforts in an agile context (Kanban and Scrum)
- You have the ability to obtain DHS Suitability
TARGET SALARY: $110,000 - $151,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidate’s professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
