Job Title: Wix Website Support & Maintenance Virtual Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Assistant with senior-level Wix expertise to oversee the post-build support and ongoing optimization of our website. This role is critical for ensuring a smooth handoff from our outgoing developers, maintaining site stability, and supporting incremental feature rollouts as our product line expands.

The ideal candidate will act as the primary point person for routine maintenance, security monitoring, and small-scale enhancements while ensuring excellent documentation and proactive communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transition & Handoff:

Shadow and seamlessly inherit the project from outgoing developers

Document essential workflows, settings, and integrations for future reference

Ensure no downtime or loss of functionality during the transition

  • Ongoing Website Guardianship:

Perform weekly software/plugin updates and backups

Conduct regular performance audits and implement incremental speed improvements

Manage checkout workflow QA and refund testing

Execute on-page SEO tweaks and content uploads

Provide proactive uptime and security monitoring, with rapid response to issues

Create clear Loom video summaries and concise changelogs for every update

  • Strategic Enhancements:

Support incremental feature rollouts (e.g., new landing pages, gated-content modules, product-page launches)

Collaborate with the team on small-scale improvements aligned with marketing or product updates

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Wix, preferably with knowledge of Corvid/Velo for advanced customizations
  • Strong background in website maintenance, SEO optimization, and performance tuning
  • Ability to manage and troubleshoot site integrations and workflows
  • Familiarity with security best practices, uptime monitoring, and backup solutions
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills (Loom video updates, written changelogs)
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
  • Comfortable collaborating via WhatsApp and email, with at least 2 hours overlap with US Central Time (GMT‑5)

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Senior-level Wix experience with a strong portfolio of live sites
  • Prior experience supporting post-launch website stabilization
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices, e-commerce workflows, and content management
  • Bonus: Familiarity with analytics tools, gated-content modules, or email marketing integrations
