Job Description
The client is developing its own Marketing AI product to deliver personalized product, bundle, and promotion recommendations based on customer profiles, purchase history, and behavioral data. The goal is to make recommendations more relevant, increase conversion, and improve profit margins.
We’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer with hands-on experience building and deploying recommendation, ranking, and personalization systems in production.
In this role, you’ll develop real-time recommendation engines, ranking and personalization algorithms, targeted promotion models, and customer segmentation solutions, helping shape personalized customer experiences across web, app, and in-store touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- Develop real-time recommendation engines: Build product and bundle recommendation engines, including dynamic slot placement optimized for conversion and margin.
- Build targeted promotion algorithms: Develop personalized coupon and points issuance, behavioral triggers, and dynamic bundling.
- Scale customer segmentation across markets: Expand the segmentation engine to support behavioral, demographic, psychographic, and lookalike audiences, including wallet push.
- Extend personalization across touchpoints: Apply personalization models across web, app, and in-store employee touchpoints.
- Own end-to-end ML pipelines: Build and operate pipelines from feature preparation in BigQuery and Snowflake through deployment and monitoring.
- Measure business impact through experimentation: Design and evaluate A/B tests to demonstrate the business impact of each model.
Qualifications
Must have
- Hands-on experience building ranking or recommender systems that run in production.
- Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience using TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Solid understanding of model evaluation and validation, including offline metrics and online performance.
- Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and experiments to measure model and business impact.
- Practical MLOps experience, including ML pipelines, model deployment, performance monitoring, and CI/CD.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses, ideally BigQuery and/or Snowflake, and pipeline orchestration with Airflow.
- Fluent English for working in an international team.
Nice to have
- Experience deploying and serving models in real time or with low latency.
- Experience with promotion targeting, pricing, or uplift modeling, including personalized coupons and product bundling.
- Experience building customer segmentation and lookalike models across multiple markets.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Experience with GCP machine learning tools, such as Vertex AI.
- Experience building personalization solutions for retail or e-commerce.
