AI4ALL

We are a national nonprofit founded in 2017 by AI scientists, business leaders, and educators. Melinda French Gates (Pivotal Ventures) and Jensen Huang (NVIDIA) provided our seed funding. Our goal is to ensure AI benefits everyone by providing education and mentorship in artificial intelligence to historically excluded talent.

We offer several key initiatives to achieve this. AI4ALL Ignite is a free virtual accelerator for college students across 34 states and 180 colleges nationwide. This program prepares students for AI careers, connecting them with industry mentors, hands-on projects, and a peer community. It focuses on technical skills and human-centered AI. Graduates have worked on projects such as brain tumor detection, Alzheimer’s prediction, deep fake detection, eye tracking for accessible scrolling, and air quality detection.

The Future of AI Education Council is another initiative. We partner with AI faculty from institutions like Princeton, MIT, Duke, Caltech, Morehouse, Columbia, and UPenn to develop guidelines for inclusive AI education. We also host Future of AI Salons, which are gatherings for senior leaders to discuss how to responsibly shape AI’s future.

We receive funding from organizations including Google.org, Salesforce, General Motors, Reboot Representation, SoftBank, Pivotal Ventures, Atlassian, Capital One, Motorola Solutions Foundation, and Nielsen Foundation. Our work has been covered by The New York Times, TIME, CNN, The Washington Post, USA Today, and The Atlantic. We work in the Higher Education industry, focusing on Education, Artificial Intelligence, Women in Technology, Diversity, Inclusion, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Institutional Relationships.

We envision a future where responsible AI talent collaborates to reshape AI development and implementation, ensuring technology serves everyone. This mission stems from our aim to make sure AI benefits humanity and provides opportunities in artificial intelligence for historically excluded talent through education and mentorship.

We have 11-50 employees and are a remote-first organization.
