AIChE - American Institute of Chemical Engineers

We founded the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) in 1908 to support chemical engineering professionals. Today, we have over 60,000 members in more than 110 countries.

We offer resources and expertise to professionals in core process industries and emerging fields like nanobiotechnology and translational medicine. We support over 40 technical and professional communities, providing access to information, multimedia content, a global professional network, career tools, and exclusive job listings. Members can present research or learn from experts at our industry events and through our publications.

We operate the AIChE Academy, which offers engineering education through eLearning courses, seminars, webinars, and conference presentations for both members and non-members. Our AIChE Career Discovery program helps professionals assess skills, identify career opportunities, and provides resources for resume building, career coaching, networking, and interviewing. The Institute for Learning & Innovation further supports education, practice, and discovery.

We publish CEP Magazine, offering practical information on chemical engineering projects, with full online access for members. We also run the Bee a ChemE program to inspire future engineers through STEM education. Our work promotes sustainability, professionalism, and personal and professional growth within chemical engineering.
