Due to a very busy period within our business, are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join AJ Bell on a 12-month fixed-term contract, to lead the delivery of a large-scale project.
This is a critical role requiring someone who has successfully delivered complex technology transformation programmes, working across Product, UX, Engineering teams, and third-party vendors.
You will be responsible for driving end-to-end delivery, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, and managing dependencies in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
What you’ll do:
- Define and maintain project plans, milestones, and delivery roadmaps
- Manage cross-functional collaboration between:
- Product Managers
- Product Development (requirements & validation)
- UX/UI teams
- Engineering teams
- Third-party vendors / delivery partners
- Facilitate and drive key ceremonies (e.g. planning, RAID, steering updates)
- Identify, track, and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID)
- Ensure alignment between business requirements, UX design, and technical delivery
- Manage third-party suppliers, ensuring accountability and delivery against scope
- Provide clear and concise stakeholder reporting to senior leadership
- Support governance, ensuring appropriate controls, documentation, and sign-offs
- Drive delivery discipline while remaining adaptable to evolving requirements
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale app projects
- Strong background in technology delivery within regulated environments (ideally financial services)
- Demonstrable experience working closely with:
- UX/design teams
- Engineering teams (Agile environments)
- External vendors / third parties
- Experience operating in matrixed organisation’s with multiple stakeholder groups
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery, with ability to operate across Agile and traditional governance models
- Track record of managing complex dependencies and integrations

- Confident facilitating discussions and challenging where needed
Desirable
- Experience in investment platforms / fintech / wealth management
- Exposure to mobile app delivery (iOS/Android)
- Familiarity with cross-functional delivery models
- Experience working alongside Product Development / BA-type functions
