Why this role exists now
Allwyn Lottery Solutions is scaling rapidly, operating across 35+ teams, multiple deployments, and shared iLottery, Host, and Data platforms. As expansion continues through 2030, stronger coordination, governance, and cross-functional control are essential.
The Programme Manager role is key to:
- Shaping and mobilising work before execution
- Owning end-to-end planning across teams and functions
- Driving alignment and momentum across complex initiatives
- Managing governance, dependencies, risks, and recovery
- Providing leadership with clear visibility and delivery confidence

You will:
- Work across Product, Engineering, Delivery, Customer, and leadership
- Coordinate initiatives across platforms, deployments, BAU, and transformation
- Manage competing priorities, shared resources, and dependencies
- Bring structure and clarity to large-scale change
- Lead through influence in a fast-paced environment
Key Accountabilities
Programme Leadership: Own end-to-end delivery, including plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, and progress
Cross-Functional Coordination: Align teams, manage dependencies, and remove blockers
Mobilisation: Shape work upfront and translate goals into delivery plans
Governance & Reporting: Set governance, maintain RAID, and provide clear reporting and recovery plans
Delivery Confidence: Track health, risks, and timelines with realistic control
Stakeholder Leadership: Build credibility, align stakeholders, and support decision-making
First 90 Days
- Establish ownership, plans, and governance
- Align stakeholders on priorities, milestones, and risks
- Actively manage dependencies and blockers
- Deliver clear, action-focused reporting
- Drive path-to-green where needed
Objective: Build clarity, control, momentum, and leadership confidence as Allwyn scales
Minimum Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading large-scale enterprise technology implementations, transitions or migration programmes across complex, multi-team, stakeholder-rich environments, ideally within the lottery, gaming or wider technology sectors
- Proven experience leading complex programmes across multiple teams and functions in technology-led environments
- Strong track record of end to end programme planning, governance and delivery management
- Experience managing programmes with significant dependencies, ambiguity and stakeholder complexity
- Experience working across Agile, hybrid and phased delivery environments
- Strong understanding of delivery governance, RAID management, milestone tracking and change control
- Strong working knowledge of programme and project management tooling, including the ability to manage plans, dependencies, RAID and reporting using tools such as MS Project, Jira and Confluence.
- Experience operating in regulated, high-accountability or enterprise environments is advantageous
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, MSP, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent are desirable

- Resilient, calm and organised under pressure, with the ability to maintain momentum through ambiguity and change
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability, with the ability to identify risks, dependencies and delivery implications early
- High integrity and discipline in managing governance, commitments and delivery reporting
- Proactive and hands-on, with a strong bias for action and follow-through
- Comfortable challenging constructively where plans, assumptions or behaviours risk delivery outcomes
