Antora Energy

We founded Antora Energy in 2018 as an American energy technology company. We build and deploy thermal batteries for industrial heat and power, designed to provide reliable, low-cost energy for continuous industrial operations. Our modular thermal batteries are built in the U.S. and store energy as heat in solid carbon blocks. We convert this energy using thermophotovoltaics technology. Our product scales from megawatts to gigawatts, which helps minimize plant footprint and simplifies deployment. The thermal batteries offer low-cost operation by charging with surplus clean electricity and provide multi-day reliability. They use stable solid carbon, making them simple to operate, and their modular design allows for quick deployment and operational redundancy. We completed our first thermal battery deployment in 2023 and plan for gigawatt-hours of annual production from our U.S. factory.

We work with industries like Renewable Fuels, Food & Beverage, Data Centers, Chemicals, Mining & Mineral Refinement, Concrete & Lime, Pulp & Paper, Refining, and Steel & Iron. Our co-founders are Justin Briggs, Andrew Ponec, and David Bierman. Marigold Power, founded by David Bierman, became part of Antora Energy in 2018. We acquired Medley Thermal in 2022.

Our mission is to power global industry with clean energy. We aim to make low-cost, clean energy the standard for industrial operations worldwide and to achieve a zero-carbon future as efficiently as possible.
