Founded in 2014, we offer the Tempo Manufacturing Cloud, an AI-powered platform for batch-based manufacturing. Our platform connects teams, systems, sites, and external partners. It brings together systems like Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Distributed Control System (DCS), Laboratory Execution System (LES), eLogs, and Work Instructions to streamline manufacturing from start to finish. AI is built into every step, from design to execution.

Our platform includes specific AI Agents: the AI Authoring Agent digitizes manufacturing records, the Process AI Agent automates tasks, the Continuous Improvement AI Agent observes operations to suggest improvements, the Quality AI Agent identifies production issues, and Ask Apprentice AI provides real-time insights during procedures.

The platform features Agentic AI, a Manufacturing Execution System, a Connected Manufacturing Network, a Laboratory Execution System, Manufacturing Intelligence, Digital Work Instructions, and Virtual Remote Collaboration. It’s cloud-native, no-code, and operator-centric, designed for security and compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR ready, IQ/OQ validation for cGXP and 21 CFR Part 11). Most implementations take 90 days or less.

We started by modernizing pharmaceutical manufacturing with GMP-compliant solutions. Today, we support manufacturers across many sectors, both regulated and non-regulated, from R&D to commercial production. We’ve raised significant funding: a $2.5 million seed round in December 2017, an $8 million Series A in December 2018, a $24 million Series B in March 2020, a $100 million Series C in January 2022, and an additional $65 million in March 2023. Recent product launches include GenAI capabilities in September 2024 and Agentic AI Agents in March 2025. Customers using our platform have reported annual cost savings of $2.45 million, an 80% faster batch review and release time, $1.2 million in annual payroll savings, and a 17% increase in annual capacity.

Angelo Stracquatanio, Gary Pignata, and Alexandra Buttke co-founded Apprentice.io in 2014. We have an international team focused on innovation and making a real impact.
