AXIS Teletherapy

We started AXIS Teletherapy in 2018 to provide online Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Mental Health Services to school districts. We offer consultations, assessments, and therapy sessions using a HIPAA and FERPA compliant virtual platform.

Our Speech & Language Therapy programs cover articulation, expressive and receptive language, social skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Occupational Therapy includes online assessments and support for fine and gross motor skills, visual perception, sensory processing, and self-care. For Mental Health Therapy, we provide full case management, behavior management, individual and group counseling, parent consultation, and treatment for bullying and abuse.

We call our service approach ‘The AXIS Affirmation.’ It means we partner closely with each client through a personal contract manager. Our therapists are state-certified, have at least two years of school experience, and are trained in teletherapy. We ensure a smooth transition for clients and use a data collection platform to track goals and progress in real-time.

Our mission is to improve and expand access to therapy services for students with special needs.

AXIS Teletherapy has 11-50 employees and was co-founded by CEO Shifra Mehl and Director of Operations Lisa Hirth. The company aims to create a supportive community for its remote therapists, fostering balance and connection. Its remote model encourages collaboration among specialists and promotes professional growth and clear communication.

For clinicians, we offer 1099 contract positions. We provide strong mentorship and support, along with 100% remote work. Part-time roles usually require at least 15 hours of daytime availability per week.
