About the Role
In this position, as the Sales Enablement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in growing our two lines of business, Betterment at Work and Betterment Advisor Solutions. You’ll work across both lines of business, empowering our sales teams with the necessary tools, knowledge and training, helping them present our product and drive revenue growth. You will be responsible for owning the sales training and onboarding programs across Betterment’s Sales organization, ensuring sellers are equipped with the critical knowledge and skills to succeed. In addition, you will partner closely with Betterment’s Sales Enablement Associate to ensure proper sales tool adoption and mastery across the organization.
This role will cover all customer segments, including Direct and Partner sales, and support the full sales cycle from lead generation to post-sales expansion. Reporting into the Director, Sales Enablement within the marketing department, you will collaborate closely with the sales teams as well as Growth Marketing, Creative Services, Insights, Analytics, RevOps and external vendors and agencies as needed.
This role is based out of our NYC office. Below we’ve reflected the base salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Betterment’s total compensation package for employees.
- New York City: $121,000-151,000

A Day in the Life:
- Manage Betterment’s Sales Training Calendar, building a consistent training series spanning critical skill areas for the Sales organization
- Iterate and expand on Betterment’s Sales New Hire Onboarding program, partnering closely with Sales leaders to ensure new hires onboard quickly and effectively
- Develop and execute impactful training that equips our sales teams with the knowledge needed to excel in their roles
- Partner closely with Sales leaders and sellers to proactively identify team needs and skill gaps that can be addressed either in 1:1 seller coaching or broader team training
- Regularly intake feedback from sellers on enablement programming, report on key insights and iterate to ensure enablement continues to drive impact
- Provide ongoing measurement and analysis of the success of Betterment’s training and onboarding programs
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in sales enablement, emerging technologies, and industry best practices, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid experience in sales enablement, B2B product marketing, or a related role (prior Sales experience is a plus!)
- Strong understanding of digital tools, platforms, and technologies used for sales enablement, such as CRM systems, sales automation software, learning management systems, and data analytics tools (Seismic experience is a plus!)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor initiatives effectively
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
- While not a requirement for the role, experience in financial services or retirement planning is a plus

In the interview process, we’ll look to learn more about your skills, experiences, capabilities, and motivators. Many of our questions will be aimed at understanding how you might operate here at Betterment. Depending on the role, we may ask you to complete a case study exercise or technical assessments, as we want to collect a robust set of data points to better inform our decisions.
On average, it takes us around 3-5 weeks to make a hiring decision, depending on your availability and sense of urgency. As a best practice, we aim to interview at least 2-3 final round candidates before making a hiring decision.
