We are looking for a Local Marketing Specialist to be responsible for driving sustainable demand growth for Bolt South Africa across all verticals by executing high-impact local marketing initiatives, strengthening brand relevance, and optimising lifecycle and performance communications.

This role plays a critical part in translating global strategies into locally resonant execution, leveraging data, automation, and creator-led marketing to drive measurable business results across riders, drivers, eaters, and merchants.
Social & Community Management: Lead the local social media strategy TikTok, IG, FB and other emerging platforms, fostering community growth and ensuring brand consistency across South Africa. Creator & Influencer Strategy: Scale authentic creator partnerships focused on ROI, collaborating with HQ to localize global campaigns for the South African market. Lifecycle & CRM Optimization: Execute and automate multi-channel communications (Email, Push, SMS) to drive engagement and retention for riders, drivers, and merchants. Partnerships and Local Growth Initiatives: Identify and manage E2E brand partnerships and local events that drive demand and increase brand sentiment. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support the planning and execution of local campaigns, events and activations across South Africa while collaborating with Operations, Community Specialists and other internal teams to deliver seamless execution. Performance Analysis: Deliver comprehensive monthly reports, using data-driven insights to optimize campaigns and measure impact on business outcomes.
Industry Expertise: 4β6 years of marketing experience in local or regional roles within tech, marketplace or consumer brands Multi-Channel Proficiency: Deep understanding of social media, creator marketing, and lifecycle fundamentals (Email/Push/SMS). Technical Toolset: Hands-on experience with tools such as CleverTap, Mailchimp, Emplifi, analytical tools such as Meta Business Suite,Google Ads and design tools such as Figma, Canva or AI-assisted creative tools as a plus. Data-driven Mindset: Ability to interpret complex data and translate campaign performance into actionable growth strategies. Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of navigating multi-national environments and coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams. Communication & Project Lead: Excellent verbal and written English skills with a high degree of proficiency in project management.
