Our Outsourced Accounting and Advisory Services unit extends a wide variety of accounting services. These range from routine transactional accounting tasks such as bookkeeping and month-end close to more extensive financial reporting. In the quest to improve systems, our proficient team assists clients with their ERP system implementation needs and leverages technology to streamline their accounting processes and protocols.

Position Title: Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary: Are you an experienced accountant looking to make a significant impact? As a Supervisor, you’ll hone the skill of managing teams by oversee the work of Associates and bookkeepers, assist with client onboarding, and handle complex accounting tasks. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about mentoring others and ensuring the highest quality of work.  You’ll be at the forefront of our client interactions, building strong relationships and driving success. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervisor to play a key leadership role in our globalization initiatives and who has the potential to fast-track into a Manager position.

You Have (Requirements):

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
  • Have an active CPA license, or the educational credentials to sit for the CPA exam, and/or hold a Masters degree in the field of business or accounting. Exceptions can be discussed based on relevant experience and technical expertise.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in public accounting and/or industry as part of an accounting function.
  • Experience with data conversions, interfaces/integrations, reporting and customization within various ERP systems.
  • Experience using QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite and/or other accounting platforms; Additional certifications like QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Sage Intacct or NetSuite are a plus but optional.
  • Working knowledge of Bill.com, Expensify, Ramp and/or Concur is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize all forms of research into clear, thoughtful, actionable deliverables.
  • Knowledge of GAAP is preferred, while deep understanding of accrual accounting is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including a willingness to teach others
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously

You Will (Job Responsibilities):

  • While working at the direction of Partners, Managers and Directors (PDMs), you will also lead and mentor teammates, ensuring efficient quality control and professional growth.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to lead globalization efforts across the US and Bengaluru teams, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Assist with client onboarding, system implementations, and collaborate directly with clients and various tax or audit teams.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis to highlight questions for your PDMs and handle or research complex accounting transactions.
  • Schedule team tasks and delegate work efficiently, gaining a more detailed understanding of engagement economics.
  • Serve as a bridge between clients and other key team members, providing informed responses and building rapport.
  • Utilize and adapt to accounting systems like QuickBooks Online (QBO), NetSuite, or Sage Intacct.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with the MS Office Suite, especially showcasing advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Enthusiastically approach and complete your yearly BPM Learning Plans on time, as well as raise their hand to lead trainings where you are a subject matter expert (SME)

Skills Expected upon Hire:

  • Entry Level Skills: Proficiency in handling complex accounting tasks, and consistently delivering high-quality work.
  • Intermediate Skills: Ability to create a wide range of asset and liability reconciliation schedules, assemble complete financial statements with minimal supervision, and suggest journal entries with complete supporting schedules.
  • Advanced skills: Demonstrating leadership potential by understanding scheduling of team members and allocating work; performing in-depth financial analysis and applying or researching complex accounting principles.

  • Work setup: Fully Remote
  • Hours (to ensure overlap hours with the global team): 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM PST /8:00pm – 10:00 pm PST
