We started CapeZero in 2023 to serve the renewable energy industry. We provide a cloud-based software platform to help clean energy developers, investors, syndicators, advisors, and consultants manage tax equity and tax credit financing. Our platform centralizes project finance data, helping teams align, manage complexity, and deploy capital more efficiently without enterprise overhead.

Our platform includes tools for:

• Feasibility analysis and refining assumptions during early-stage project evaluation.
• Evaluating ownership versus sale options and supporting contract signing in mid to late stages.
• Facilitating transactions and due diligence from Notice to Proceed (NTP) to Commercial Operation Date (COD).
• Tracking and planning capital for operational projects, including cash forecasts.

Our platform helps users refine and track assumptions to identify value drivers. It also lets them analyze new business opportunities like PPA bids, collateral posting, safe harboring equipment for tax credits, and M&A processes. We offer built-in templates for debt, tax equity, and transferability deals, with options for custom templates. Our platform supports rolling up data for capital planning, scenario, and sensitivity analysis. It also provides investor access for oversight or capital raising. Customers report saving 75% less time on modeling and reducing manual spreadsheet work, giving them a centralized view of their project pipeline.

Our founding team has helped add over 16GW of clean energy to the grid, closed more than 70 renewable energy transactions, structured or advised on over $16B in capital, and brings over 22 years of experience in renewable energy finance.

Key team members include Manish Hebbar (CEO), Sumit Chachra (CTO), and Luke Syka (Director of Business Development). They bring collective expertise in clean energy project finance, tax credits, modeling, and software.
