Job Description
We are looking for a Senior UX Researcher to join our team supporting story-driven, open-world RPGs like The Witcher and Cyberpunk franchises. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the UX research direction for assigned projects, ensuring that player experience remains central to our development process. Working closely with product managers, game design, and project leadership, you will play a key role in translating game vision and design intent into actionable research plans, answering critical design questions throughout development, and delivering insights that help teams iterate toward the intended experience. Your work will directly shape the next generation of immersive worlds created by CD PROJEKT RED.

Daily Responsibilities
- Own stakeholder management for designated projects and maintain a UXR strategy across the development cycle.
- Translate game vision and design intent into research questions, hypotheses, and success criteria that support decision-making.
- Scope, design, and run qualitative UX research studies, including playtesting, player interviews, focus groups, and surveys; selecting methods that match stakeholder needs.
- Create or review study protocols, moderator guides, and research materials needed for study execution.
- Collect and analyze research data, identifying key patterns, player pain points, and actionable insights.
- Synthesize findings into clear, well-structured reports that can be used by game teams and project stakeholders.
- Maintain effective collaboration and communication throughout the research process, including follow-ups and validation of changes in subsequent builds.
- Guide and mentor junior members of the UXR team within assigned projects, helping ensure strong study execution and use outcomes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in UX research.
- 2+ years of experience with games UX research involving stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in qualitative research methodologies; including usability testing, playtesting, interviews, focus groups, and survey design.
- Proficiency in behavioral and cognitive analysis.
- Demonstrable skills in stakeholder management, research planning, data interpretation, and report writing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Passion for game design and player experience.
- Background in human-computer interaction, Psychology, cognitive sciences, or a related field through previous experience or academic degree.
- Understanding of game development and familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in quantitative research methodologies and/or statistics.
- Experience supporting multiple projects or franchises and maintaining alignment across development teams.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional research contributors to address stakeholder needs.
Additional Information
Working mode
In-office in a hybrid (at least 3 days per week in the office) or full-time capacity in Warsaw, Poland.

Estimated pay range for this position: 17 800 - 27 800 PLN gross monthly. Final offers are dependent on job-related factors like experience and qualifications.
Type of contract: Employment Contract (“Umowa o pracę”).
