Location: India, Hybrid This is a hybrid position, which will require the ability to be onsite in our Bengaluru, India office as needed. Candidates must be based in India.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
At Clari + Salesloft, our Mgr, Engineering will be pivotal to our company’s success. You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing team in India. We are looking for experienced Mgr, Engineering who can help realize Clari + Salesloft vision with their passion and proven track record of excellence and innovation. We are looking for an Mgr, Engineering who is passionate about their work and who thrive working on leading-edge cloud-based technologies to develop ground-breaking AI-driven enterprise-grade applications.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible to -
Champion the product delivery in the fast-paced startup with a deep focus on quality, design & architecture
Own the technical roadmap for a productHire and provide leadership and oversight to a team of software engineers building solutions and capabilities at scale with high engineering and quality standards.
Recruit the best by owning the recruitment processes for your teams.
Engagement and collaboration with cross teams, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver on a common goal.
Drive the adoption of key engineering best practices to improve the quality and reliability of the team’s deliverables.
Responsible for keeping the team engaged, motivated, and operating with a high execution velocity.
Responsible for evaluating, coaching, and mentoring direct reports.
Collaborate/communicate across global businesses and technology teams, providing sound business analysis and process.
Build a collaborative and conducive environment for the team to deliver the best of their abilityImbibe and maintain a strong customer service-oriented attitude while designing and building products

THE SKILL SET:
- Overall 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong technical depth in Java or a comparable object-oriented language, enabling architectural oversight and informed technical decision-making.
- 2+ years of engineering leadership experience, building, scaling, and mentoring high-performing teams delivering large-scale distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain senior engineering talent, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade, highly available, low-latency systems at scale, supporting high-throughput production workloads.
- Experience operating and managing production systems with strict SLA/SLO commitments, including incident response leadership, root cause analysis, and driving systemic reliability improvements.
- Strong expertise in designing and evolving RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures, with an emphasis on scalability, resiliency, and observability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating cross-functionally across Product, Design, Infrastructure, and Leadership teams.
- Good to have experience working with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce or similar ecosystems), including understanding of CRM data models, API integrations, activity ingestion, revenue workflows, and sales process automation.
